We're not breaking out of a jamba juice and other things I will miss about China

Dear All,

Its the last day! And I share some of my favorite moments and things about China with you:

1. Little cute tissue packs

2. Steaming hot water in big thermoses everywhere you go

3. Grandparents taking good care of their grandchild -- making sure they are covered up in many layers and that their low back and neck are very covered by pulling up and down layers of long underwear and shirts.

4. Qi moving moments -- like when we were in clinic and this very proper 75 year old woman in a mauve sweater and perfectly painted on eye brows gave a perfectly loud smelly burp and then smiled demurely.

5. Great bike lanes and bike ponchos

6. Chinese Fashion! From businessmen dressed in three piece suits having their second cigarette of the morning squatting while waiting for the bus to ladies wearing flamenco skirts with leopard wraps in two inch high heels with nylons on the Great Wall -- it was always awesome.

7. An abundance of cheap delicious street food. Some favorites include veggie or red bean buns, Muslim cucumber noodles, soups, and donuts.

8. The kindness of our everyday interactions as the Chinese people patiently help us even though we can hardly speak and when we do they often have to guess the meaning and make great gestures.

9. Prison Break the second season is out on DVD here -- and it is really good. See title quote.

10. My traveling companion -- Amy is awesome. She is easy going and good natured and friendly. I could never have made it without her.

See you soon my friends. E
