We picked our word for the year: Expanding. On the trail of last year's word "exploration", we are becoming imperialists. Expanding vocabularies, expanding horizons (what are we doing after this?), expanding our concepts of home, expanding Ben, (how fat will we get on wurst and potatoes?).

We are so excited about your visit - it is hard to edit our discussions in front of Ben. (What if he found out that both Claire and Natasha were coming. We would never ever hear the end of it, he would never go to sleep, we would have to constantly tell him where you were and how long til you are here.)
Inspired by you and George's word for the year... I have taken up the tradition. My word for the year is "Harmonize." Brought about by my singing lessons and with hopes that I find more balance in my research and daily life.
late to the party, but i think my word for this year should be 'focus'. yay for grad school, yay! my astrological summary for 2012 seems to point to 'explosion' as my word, however, with claims that pretty much every facet of my life is about to go nuts. i'll just stand up to whatever happens, and if i stay focused, all will be fine.
expansion seems totally appropriate, i am loving the blog updates, and am thrilled that you have come to the part of your adventure that goes deeper. looking forward to hearing more!
